THE DART CENTRE
From the M27 take junction 7 towards Hedge End. Take the 2nd exit off the roundabout and at the traffic lights in the village centre, turn left into Wildern Lane. The Dart Centre is located on the Wildern School Site, 200m along on the right.
Welcome to The Dart, a Community Arts Centre exhibiting work by five professional artists and makers and one community group, including a varied selection of acrylic & oil paintings, textiles, ceramics, photographs, short films, unique gift items and more.
Artists this year:
Paul Best: Impressionist & Abstract Landscape & Seascapes in acrylic and oil paints. Elizabeth Saunders: Textile and Mixed Media Artist exploring memories using paint, print and stitch. Yas Crawford: International Award-Winning Fine Art Photography and Contemporary Short Film at the cross-section of Art and Neuroscience. Vicki North: Ceramicist and Needlefelt Artist. Flagship Art Group: Part of Eastleigh Borough and Romsey Mencap, exhibiting a variety of works created by their members. Hedge End Bobbin Lacemakers: Showcasing a variety of bobbin lace including Torchon, Bedfordshire and Contemporary styles.
Our Coffee Shop will be open serving cakes, snacks and refreshments. We have accessible toilet facilities and an art shop selling local, handmade gifts. Demonstrations, talks and workshops are bookable via the website.
